Head pressurization systems

The LEIBINGER JET3up and JET2neo series of inkjet printer print heads can be equipped optionally with head pressurization. This is advantageous if the printers are installed in particularly dusty or damp production environments, if the installation involves overhead applications or when printing products with an electrostatic charge.
The head pressurization is used to create a slight positive pressure in the print head so that air constantly streams out of the print head. This prevents dust and dirt from getting into the print head.

 

The internal head pressurization functions using an internal compressor pump that generates positive air pressure. The air used for this is taken in through an air filter. This means no external supply of compressed air is needed.

 

The external head pressurization is recommended for extremely dusty or extremely damp production environments. The external compressed air is used to build up positive pressure in the print head so that air constantly streams out of the print head. This ensures that no immediate dust from the environment is taken in and dirt reliably remains outside of the print head.
