IHK Visits LEIBINGER’s New Training Center in Tuttlingen

How do you ensure quality and secure the skilled workforce of tomorrow?

During a visit by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) to LEIBINGER’s new apprenticeship training center in Tuttlingen, one thing quickly became clear: training its own skilled workforce is a top priority for the coding and marking specialist. As part of the regular annual meeting, Education Advisor Simon Korb from IHK Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg visited the facility, which was opened only a few months prior. He exchanged ideas with apprentices and trainers and presented the latest IHK certificate to the company.

Paul Leibinger GmbH & Co. KG has invested a six-figure sum in expanding and modernizing its training department. “We are very pleased to see that LEIBINGER is investing so consistently in the training of young people and pursuing this topic with great commitment,” emphasized Simon Korb during his visit.

As a globally active coding and marking specialist with an in-house production depth of around 85 percent, LEIBINGER relies on apprenticeship programs for mechatronics specialists, industrial mechanics, industrial mechanics and metal cutting mechanics to develop its own skilled workforce and secure quality and expertise within the company over the long term. This commitment is supported by a modern machine park and continuous investments in expanding and updating technical equipment.

“For us, vocational training is a key component of our corporate strategy. We want to provide our apprentices not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical experience that prepares them for the demands of everyday professional life,” explains Sebastian Wolf. “The close collaboration with the IHK is particularly valuable because it allows theory and practice to be combined in the best possible way.”

At the same time, LEIBINGER introduces young talents to the diverse requirements of a modern industrial company at an early stage—while offering them the prospect of long-term employment after successfully completing their training.
