LEIBINGER sponsors Tuttlingen triathlete at the Ironman World Championship

Daniel Leibinger, an employee of Tuttlingen-based Paul Leibinger GmbH & Co. KG, will compete in the Ironman World Championship in Nice on September 14. The triathlon is regarded as one of the toughest sporting events in the world, and qualifying for it came as a surprise for the amateur athlete.

“Becoming a little better every day” – this is Daniel Leibinger’s motto in sports, at work, and in life. Driven by this mindset, the athlete completed his very first triathlon in Munich in May 2025. Just one month later, in June, he qualified in Frankfurt with a total time of 9:57 hours for the upcoming Ironman World Championship in Nice. The course there is particularly demanding: 3.8 km of swimming in the sea, 180 km of cycling with up to 2,427 meters of elevation gain, followed by a full marathon of 42.2 km.

The 27-year-old, who lives with his partner in the Nendingen district of Tuttlingen and is not related to the company owner’s family of the same name, has set a goal for himself to complete the tough course in under twelve hours. Above all, however, he aims to soak up the unique atmosphere, since for him, the Ironman World Championship represents the hardest sporting challenge one can face. To pursue his sporting ambitions, he invests a large part of his free time and recently completed a two-week training camp. Only thanks to careful planning is he able to balance this extensive training workload with his demanding job as Product Manager at LEIBINGER.

The pursuit of peak performance that Daniel Leibinger has learned through sports also benefits his professional work. “LEIBINGER strives to deliver best-in-class performance and innovative solutions with real added value to its customers. I am proud that my passion for high performance also contributes to customer satisfaction and product success,” says Daniel Leibinger.

LEIBINGER, a company specializing in industrial coding and marking systems, supports its ambitious employee with a sponsorship package covering his entire participation in the Ironman, including entry fee, travel and accommodation expenses, as well as additional costs.

Colleagues, team leaders, and management stand firmly behind the Product Manager and cheer him on. From their daily work together, they know that top performance can only be achieved as a team. Appreciation and support enable everyone to give their best – and together to accomplish extraordinary things.

Christina Leibinger, CEO and owner of LEIBINGER, emphasizes: “Daniel Leibinger has climbed the career ladder in our company from apprentice to Product Manager for our latest innovation, the IQJET printer. We are very proud to have such a determined employee, both professionally and athletically. His mindset is a perfect match for LEIBINGER, as continuous improvement is also our guiding principle in product development. We wish Daniel the very best for the Ironman and are delighted with the successes he has already achieved.”

Daniel Leibinger explains his formula for success: “For many athletes, it may be a challenge to combine peak performance in both sport and work. Thanks to my responsibilities as Product Manager, I know exactly what careful planning requires, which allows me to give my very best in both areas.”
