beyerdynamic develops and produces high-quality microphones and headphones for professional applications in recording studios or on stage, and as high-end models for enjoying music at home or on the road. Moreover, beyerdynamic conference systems, interpreter consoles and tour guide systems are used at events worldwide. Founded in Berlin in 1924, reestablished in Heilbronn after the war, beyerdynamic today generates annual sales of close to 60 million euros.
Requirements
The production step of coating headphone diaphragms had to be fully automated to improve quality and optimize processes. beyerdynamic opted for a transfer system with robot arms. The company was looking for a coding and marking system that could be smoothly integrated into the automation process and guarantee two-way communication based on the indust-ry 4.0 standard. At the same time, the marking system shouldn’t damage the sensitive diaphragms.
Solution
beyerdynamic opted for the industry 4.0-compatible LEIBINGER JET3up CIJ printer, which comes with all interfaces required for two-way data transfer ex works – at no additional cost.
