Register nowIn the electrical and electronics sectors, parts such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), microcontrollers, light sources, connectors, glass fibers, diodes, displays and cables often need to be marked and coded. This is done in order to prevent product piracy, comply with regulations and enable traceability throughout the supply chain. Since these parts are often dark in color, an additional challenge is to ensure that codes are legible, even though extremely small font sizes are necessary on smaller items.
Leibinger’s continuous inkjet printers encode products with minimal font heights of up to 0.8 mm, enabling you to print batch numbers, 1D and 2D codes and other information on the smallest electronic components and devices. Contrasting inks (pigmented or soft pigmented inks) can be used to ensure markings stand out legibly from any surface color. Chemical- and heat-resistant inks can also be used for added durability, and our printers can be easily integrated into any production line.
Leibinger printers are perfect for marking and coding onto all materials used for electronic parts, including coated, alloyed or painted metals, plastics, cables and wires, and cardboard (packaging).
